Our therapists come from various backgrounds, but all are well-qualified and dedicated to providing you with excellent care.

Clinical social work (MSW, RSW) is a specialization of general social work that is primarily focused on treating mental health issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, addictions, self-esteem issues, stress management, parenting difficulties, and many other mental health and life issues.

Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT) is a distinct mental health discipline where a systems theory framework is applied to viewing and treating individuals, couples, families, groups and organizations. Marriage and Family Therapists view problems in complex and holistic ways, examining relationships and interactions as significant components of health and optimal functioning. Marriage and family therapists provide counselling to help individuals, couples, and families resolve interpersonal difficulties, develop effective and satisfactory relationships and build meaningful support systems. In addition to relational issues, they provide support for mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, addictions, etc.

Counseling Psychology (Ma, CCC) uses a broad range of culturally-informed and culturally-sensitive practices to help people improve their well-being, prevent and alleviate distress and maladjustment, resolve crises, and increase their ability to function better in their lives. It focuses normative life-span development, with a particular emphasis on prevention and education as well as amelioration, addressing individuals as well as the systems or contexts in which they function.

Psychology (CCC, PA(IP) is a regulated health profession whose clinicians are trained in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of behavioural and mental conditions. In addition, Psychologists (or Psychological Associates) use a variety of approaches directed toward the maintenance and enhancement of physical, intellectual, emotional, social and interpersonal functioning.

The power of breathwork is incredibly dynamic! It can be used for trauma healing, reducing stress + anxiety, deepening self and spiritual connection, reducing chronic pain, enhancing athletic endurance, nervous system regulation, and much more!

Somatic therapy is an experiential approach towards mindbody integration, recognizing the intricate relationship between the body and emotions. This approach believes that emotional and psychological issues can manifest in physical symptoms and that addressing the body's experiences is crucial for overall well-being. In somatic therapy, therapists help individuals explore and release tension, physical sensations, and emotions stored in the body as a result of past experiences, trauma, or stress. This includes building more internal and external resources, building trusting and co-regulatory relationships, learning to turn inward with compassion, being invited deeper in the body, and given time and space to process the trauma. The goal is to promote healing by increasing awareness of bodily sensations, improving the regulation of emotions, and facilitating the integration of mind and body.

Susan & Valdeane Brown, have developed a technology that gives feedback directly to your brain allowing it to regulate itself more efficiently. During a NeurOptimal brain training session, you wear two tiny sensors on your head and ear clips on your ears that read the electrical activity of your brain. You lay down or sit in a comfortable chair, listen to music and close your eyes or watch a fractal image or a movie. Through tiny pauses in the music, NeurOptimal communicates with the brain, letting it know what it has just done. These interruptions give the opportunity for the brain to adopt a more natural, relaxed and effective pattern. After a 33-minute session, most feel refreshed, relaxed and in a higher state of mental alertness and flow.

Regardless of the theoretical framework I’m drawing from, my general approach is that people don’t need to be fixed – we all need to be heard, seen, understood, and valued in all of our complexity. I aim to provide a space where people are free to be curious about their inner world, accept what is there, and to gently challenge themselves to grow. This is not about becoming some idealized version of themselves. It’s about (re)introducing them to the compassionate, confident and calm person that’s always been there. My hope is that clients leave our time together with something intangible – a felt sense of knowing who they really are as they learn to come home to themselves.

Hi! I’m Brooke Zelcer, a Somatic Trauma Therapist, Breathwork Practitioner, and Mental Health Counsellor. I dedicate my time and energy in holding sacred space for those who are seeking to heal by embracing their whole, unique, and divine self. I am passionate about bringing Mind, Body, and Soul into the healing journey as I believe that in order to sustain balanced wellness, we must gently lean into the darker parts of ourselves so that we can embody our light. I am here to support and guide you as you align on your path.

Services:

Breathwork Journey

A breathwork journey will utilize your breathing to exercise your consciousness and address mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. A breathwork journey can elicit a variety of experiences, but ultimately allows us to disconnect from our head, reconnect to the body, move stuck energy and emotions, and be an active participant in our own healing. Your breathwork journey will be personalized and tailored to your specific needs. Many people do breathwork with me as a practice to heal trauma, reduce stress and anxiety, manage pain, and to deeply connect with themselves. It is highly recommended to invest in 5 sessions because it is in the 3rd, 4th and 5th sessions where you will really begin to do the deep subconscious work. This will allow you to tap into such a deep space where you are able to rearrange your subconscious and redefine your narrative!

Somatic Therapy

A typical Somatic Therapy session will involve an initial assessment to understand the individual’s history and challenges. While incorporating verbal exploration to express thoughts and feelings, somatic therapy places a strong emphasis on body awareness exercises, including breath, movement, and posture. Mindfulness techniques are often integrated to promote present-moment awareness without judgment. Physical movement and expression, including breathwork, may be introduced to facilitate the release of tension and emotions. Throughout the session, I will guide you in tracking bodily sensations and emotions, fostering self-awareness. A session concludes with an integration phase, focusing on grounding the experiences and exploring ways to apply insights in daily life. Somatic therapy is a collaborative process, and specific techniques may vary based on what an individual may need. Overall, the goal is to deepen the connection between mind and body, promoting healing and overall well-being

Free Consultation

I am happy to offer a FREE 15-20 minute consultation! A consultation, or what I prefer to call ‘a discovery call’, can be used to explore how we can work together and what the best path forward for us will be! You can use this time to ask me any questions you may have about my services!

I am a firm believer in client-centered therapy, trusting that the client is the expert on their own life and that my role is to help clients meet their goals through curiosity and the creation of a safe space. I work with my clients to try to understand the motivations behind their thoughts, feelings, and actions and invite a posture of empathy and compassion towards these parts of themselves. I have worked with families, couples, and youth, as well as clients with experiences of anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, PTSD, ADHD, and BPD.

My goal for all my clients is that they would learn to truly love themselves and that this love would motivate them to chase the life they want to lead. I work hard to honor and create space for experiences of frustration, worry, grief, and excitement and try to listen to what these experiences can teach us about our hopes, values and identity.

I am primarily trained in Narrative Therapy (framing our problems and healing in the context of the stories we live out) and EFT (identifying the emotions behind our behaviours), however, my interest in IFS (understanding the competing parts of our minds and why they do what they do) has led me to incorporate elements of it in my work.

I have a Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Winnipeg. I am trained as an EMDR Therapist, a Brainspotting Practitioner, a Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator, and a Sources of Strength Facilitator.

My passion for therapy grew out of the observation that when people are in personal or relational distress, not only is human support the best medicine, but they often need someone to walk with them or guide them back toward finding their connection, place of centre, or sense of wholeness.

To my mind there is no greater work. I really care about people and find it very fulfilling to watch people step back into their power, enjoy better relational health, or more personal wholeness.

Welcome and thank you for joining me! My name is Kelly with Prairie Rose Holistic Nurse Services and I would love to be your holistic nurse coach & consultant.

I’ve been a Manitoba Registered Nurse for 14 years and had been a paramedic for 9 years previous to that. I have experience in emergency, ICU, flight, and nursing in remote northern communities. I began exploring holistic nursing in 2021 when I obtained certification in Complementary Holistic Nurse Coaching & Consulting as well as learning about various complementary integrated modalities. Through this, I am privileged to provide health and wellness coaching and consulting to individuals looking to enhance their well-being in a holistic way. This is something greatly needed in our current healthcare system.

Nurse coaching & consulting combines the practice of the nursing profession with holistic coaching techniques and theory. Together, this creates the Holistic Nurse Coach container. As a holistic nurse coach, I will work together with you to discover how you can embark on a healing journey by exploring your strengths, abilities, and goals all through the tenants of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual domains. I am available to work individually with adult clients and with other practitioners who wish to refer or consult a holistic nurse coach for their clients. My service is culturally sensitive, LGTBQ2S+ inclusive and trauma-informed.

I believe in a world where individuals may gain more control and confidence over their health and well-being. I would love to be a part of your journey and help you discover your path to wellness!

Trauma, grief and pain can be overwhelming to deal with alone. Connections are built when you can be heard without prejudice or judgment. Healing can happen within the context of a strong therapeutic relationship.

I have a unique background, having moved here from the Philippines with my family when I was 15 years old. I am happy to conduct sessions in both English and Tagalog. I am also a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force. I have worked in a community resource centre since 2022.

I have experience working with children, adolescents and families struggling with socioeconomic oppression and intergenerational trauma. I hope to use my skills to support your healing and growth. You do not have to work through your challenges alone; I am here to work with you.

You are not broken. My deepest belief and lived experience is in the space of understanding that each of us has the capacity to connect our past with our present. I have a Bachelor’s of Education from the University of Saskatchewan, and am a Certified Raindrop Technique Specialist, Certified NeurOptimal Practitioner, and am registered with the Center for Aromatherapy and Natural Therapies Board.

Throughout my life, serving others has been my joy and passion. From helping my students over the years to be their best selves, to my more recent adventure with a wellness company. Assisting others with their health and wellness journey (removing toxins from their lives). About 5 years ago I experienced my first Raindrop, where I experienced such a powerful movement/shift in my body. An overwhelmingly positive experience which was almost hard to describe. Such a fresh feeling, weight lifted, more positive outlook on life. I was so relaxed, and didn’t feel the weight of my stress. I believe that no one should have to walk through life carrying the weight of trauma. I want to help others feel free, light, happiness and joy!

I am a Registered Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from the University of Manitoba. I am also an EMDR practitioner, and a Registered Yoga Instructor.

I help clients by having them tell me their story; what is their current experience and what have they done in the past. Together, we develop strategies to do things differently and move forward by using tools such as solution-focused questions, strategies from CBT, and Basic EMDR therapy. I have had clients tell me it’s helpful to talk to someone without judgment and find ways to cope with current issues.

I think it is a very human experience to assume that we need to have all the pieces together. In an effort to belong, it can be easy to get disconnected from who we are and what we actually need. Sometimes what we need is just the space to feel.

Whether you are suffering from anxiety, depression, whether you are feeling a bit lost, dissatisfied in relationships, or running on overdrive, we will work together to explore your concerns. It is my hope that we can work collaboratively to identify some of the recurring patterns and narratives that are holding you back. In this way, we can expand your inner landscape so that you can find new ways of relating and connecting in a way that feels nourishing—to you. You are the expert in your life—with unique strengths and ideas and intuitive knowing.

I know how powerful it is to feel a sense of connection. Taking a step towards therapy is taking a brave step towards reconnecting with yourself. I approach everyone from an anti-oppressive lens and respectfully acknowledge that I am a settler on Treaty 1 territory.

Welcome, I look forward to connecting with you.

I like to use a holistic approach to counselling that allows me to walk with my clients through their journey of self exploration. It is important to me that my clients feel at ease and comfortable as we embark on this experience together. While it may be scary or challenging to reach out for help, it is my hope that our time together will have positive effects that last a lifetime.

Life has many twists and turns; progress is not linear. Throughout the course of therapy, we will explore the roots of current issues and challenges, making way for healing and growth. I use a person-centered approach, and incorporate mindfulness-based practices, attachment theory and narrative therapy in my sessions. I work with a wide variety of individuals with varying ages and abilities, honouring diversity and inclusive practices, such as the use of American Sign Language (ASL). While some issues and stressors may be universal, the counselling process is as individual as the client.

I look forward to working with you!

Welcome to a space where your journey towards personal growth and well-being is honoured. As a therapist, my goal is to create a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment.

With over a decade of experience in social work, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Social Sciences, and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, I’ve been privileged to support a diverse range of clients, including children, youth, adults, and families. I am recognized as a Canadian Certified Counsellor through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. The richness of my personal journey as a parent to two children, coupled with my diverse professional experiences, profoundly shapes my therapeutic approach, underscoring the importance I place on understanding, perseverance, and kindness.

Hello! My name is Suzanne (she/her) and I have a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT). While the degree uses the word “Marriage”, I am trained to work with (and enjoy!) individuals, relationships, and families of all sorts. I am currently working with adult (18+) individual clients and couples and/or relationships.

Sometimes people feel stuck in a place they don’t want to be. In our sessions, we will talk about where you feel stuck, figure out how you’ve been getting through so far, and what we can do together to work toward feeling less stuck.

I have worked with clients since 2018 on a variety of concerns, including anxiety, infertility, identity, grief, trauma, family stress, relationship stress, work stress, and emotion regulation. I use a variety of therapy models and theories, including attachment therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and family systems therapy. I can integrate CBT where it is wanted and relevant to your therapy goals.

Of the two of us, you are the expert on you. We all come from different experiences and communities, and I am honored to hear a bit about you as you determine what you want to share with me. Throughout our time together, I will check in with you to make sure that I am understanding what you want me to know, and to do therapy at a pace that feels right to you. It’s important that you feel like your therapist “gets” you, and if we meet and it doesn’t feel like I’m that person for you, I am happy to suggest other therapists or agencies.

People come to therapy when they are ready for life to feel different. Be it from stress, overwhelm, challenges at work/school, or in relationships, we all need support from time to time. From her own lived experiences, Kelsey understands that the idea of reaching out can be intimidating. It takes courage to seek support, and the act of arriving here on this page is a bold first step toward creating the future you envision.

Kelsey works from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive framework. She strives to build ‘power-with’ relationships with clients, ensuring the therapeutic process is collaborative in nature. She values the knowledge and experiences you bring to sessions; you are the expert on you, and you decide if anything in the process feels too fast, too soon, or too much.

Change is difficult. In time, we can learn to be gentle with ourselves, and accept our challenging or painful experiences as one aspect of our life’s story.

Kelsey works with individuals age 16+.

Are you going through a transition in your life that is evoking feelings of anxiety, fear, sadness and overwhelm? Are you feeling stuck making difficult decisions and feeling unsure about what to do next? I have been a practicing clinical social worker/therapist since 2002 and have many years experience working with individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss. I have a special interest in helping people navigate the complex world of grief, loss and periods of transition in their life. I know that therapy can be confronting and I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach. I am open to working with you at your own pace to discover what would be meaningful and helpful for you. One of my passions is helping people navigate different relationships in their life, explore old patterns and limiting beliefs and learn new ways to create positive change. I believe that the quality of our relationships impact the quality of our lives and this includes our relationships with ourselves and others. I support clients in exploring and sharing their personal story and developing insight, healing and change. I also help clients learn practical strategies and tools that work with and for them to support the changes they are making.
